With Small Group or Semi-private Personal Training or Pilates, you can access the knowledge, dedication and expertise of our professional training staff for a great workout at an affordable price. Your trainer will follow the same principles of a one-on-one personal training session, only in a small group setting. BODY Statement's group workouts consist of cardiovascular, flexibility and strength training for a total-body workout.

"PilatesMix" at BODY Statement
This is 3 Pilates classes in one! It will provide a varitey of Pilates training incorporating Traditional Pilates Mat, Pilates on the Ball and Pilates Ring and Roller. The Pilates Method is a total body exercise system focused on improving flexibility and strength without building bulk. Since our sessions are limited to 4-6 students, each session is tailored to your specific needs. This type of body conditioning promotes physical harmony and balance for people of all ages and physical conditions.

SEMI-PRIVATE PERSONAL TRAINING
Create your own group and time to train or Join a group of 3-4 at these designated time(s):

Getting your kids and teens involved in fun fitness classes can be a positive confidence builder and a great way for them to stay active and healthy!

Fitness Class for Kids and Teens

This class is designed to give your kids and teens a fun workout, incorporating fitball exericses and movement to help them with coordination, flexibility and strength. (circuit training is included if age appropriate.

Fitness Dance Groove for Kids and Teens

The Rocky Mountain Fitness Festival is scheduled for November 18, 2006:
- Juniors Fitness Division (60-90 second fitness routine performed)
- Juniors Fitness and Dance Performance competition (solo or groups) where awards and prizes are given!
- Juniors "Follow-the-leader" hip-hop, dance and aerobic divisions

It is designed so your children can "show off" to family and friends their talent, accomplishments and hard work of being fit and healthy.

JUNIORS WEEKLY FIT CAMP
The national obesity epidemic has touched our children- many of our kids are getting over weight. Coaches and trainers are finding that overweight kids love resistance training. In fact, while they are often sluggish on the playing field, they usually excel in the weight room. More than 15 studies show that kids can make substantial gains in strength and muscle tone from resistance training, and lose fat at the same time. More importantly, they can do it safely, without damaging fragile bone growth centers. It's a particularly good exercise for girls because it helps build bone mass that will prevent fractures later in life. (Biomechanics, Aug. 2001)

Not all gyms welcome children. You should come to BODY Statement who has resistance training instruction especially for kids. Keep it fun and help your kids build strength gradually and consistently.

JUNIORS FUN FOOD SEMINARS
BODY Statement will also educate junior participants on nutrition each week with a thirty minute group session on how to make healthy eating fun! (Directly after the Juniors Fit Camp)

Tips for your kids and teens that want to try out a new dance style:
• Make it fun! Let loose and improvise! Once you master the moves, the real fun begins. You can add improvisation, creating movements, or what I would consider your own particular version of choreography. Dance should always be expressive and fun.

• If you are worried about not being able to follow along with the rest of the class, it’s fine to just stand in the back and watch. Standing behind someone who seems to know what they’re doing is a great trick. When taking a dance class, it’s all about having fun and getting a fun workout!

• Don’t expect to look exactly like the instructor. Remember you can always add your own special style to it to make it more comfortable for you to perform.

• You can always ask the instructor after class for extra help on that one move you just couldn’t get and then practice it at home before the next class.

Juniors Fitness Team
This team is comprised of gymnasts, dancers, and fit kids and teens that love to perform! There are numerous performances and competitions they participate in throughout the year.

If you love to dance the night away, you'll probably be pleased to know you can burn 60 or more calories for every 15 minutes you are getting your groove on. Ann Cowlin, dance/movement specialist in the Yale University athletic department, suggests picking a dance style that appeals most to you, and then giving yourself at least a month to decide whether it’s really for you. Be aware that some forms burn more calories than others. My jazz/funk and hip-hop classes can burn more than 320 calories during the hour class
